Clinaram

Generic Name: Clindamycin

Clinaram (Clindamycin HCl) is a semi-synthetic antibiotic belonging to the lincosamide group of macrolides. Clinaram is bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on concentration. Clindamycin spectrum of activity includes aerobic Gram-positive bacteria and anaerobic bacteria. Clinaram is an acid stable and well absorbed following oral administration (90%); absorption is not affected by food. Clinaram is widely distributed in body fluids and tissues (including bones), with the exception of the CSF.
* Indications :
Clinaram is indicated for the treatment of:
-Respiratory tract infections.
-Genitourinary tract infections.
-Skin and soft tissue infections.
-Intra-abdominal infections such as peritonitis and abscesses.
-Dental infections .
-Bone and joint infections.

*Presentation :
Clinaram Capsules: Each capsule contains Clindamycin Hydrochloride USP equivalent to 150 mg Clindamycin. Blister packs of 16 capsules & hospital packs of different sizes are available.
